Lars Communications (WORLDWIDE)

Position Held - Supervisor.

Projects worked on:  ONE2ONE for Ericsson also ORANGE network. Installation of P/COM, ALCATEL, DMC and SIEA-PDH radios.  ACC - Complete install of NERA (7.5 GHz &13.5 GHz SDH) radio’s & ANDREWS, NERA dishes (6, 8, 10, 12 &15ft).

Installation of Waveguide, dehydrators and all associated steel work.

Nortel (UK & USA)

Position Held - Field Technician.                                                                                                

The installation and commissioning of microwave radios on the PCS ORANGE & ONE2ONE networks .Also the expansion and upgrading of existing microwave radios.  Continued working for Nortel on the ATLANTIC TELECOM project, full site installation of multigain wireless system (TADIRAN radios and antennas) & Global positioning system. The installation and commissioning of Nera-SDH and DMC-PDH microwave radios. Transferred to USA (North / South Carolina Georgia), worked on the BELL SOUTH DCS mobility project, work included the testing of feeders and antennas for DCS1900 network.

ANGLO EUROPEAN TRANSMISSIONS (UK & SWITZERLAND)

Position Held - Field Technician

Subcontractor carrying out Line of Sight surveys for  microwave expansion projects This involved a full site survey for potential microwave links consisting of a 360 degree panoramic photo shoot at requested heights, working out the mm to bearing formula, plotting of alternative sites and obstructions, site diagrams/mapping and full site folder compilation.

Thorn C&T.S (UK NORWAY NORTH AND CENTRAL AFRICA)

Position Held - Field Technician

Subcontractor on the Highlands and Islands SDH Trunk Installation, including all offshore (Oil Platforms) builds. Responsible for full site installation  of mainly heavy-lift SDH but also PDH equipment (Nera 290X and Siea G series).First and Second fix steelwork, lifting and fixing of dish antennas up to 4.5 metres (15ft).Alignment of links, Waveguide sweeps, Fade and Stability testing. I also constructed 38ft. Satcom dishes for B.T. I also carried out numerous successful bid surveys for potential SDH backbone rings. Upon completion of this contract I moved onto the Dolphin project where I did the I & C of Alcatel 9400, DMC XP4 and DXR200 Systems.

Team Telecom (BENELUX)

Position Held – Field Technician

Subcontractor employed on the Alcatel Dutchtone expansion project. Initially employed as an I & C engineer on the minilink network using the 9400/9600 series incorporating the Lux 12 commissioning software. Upon rollout completion I was moved onto the cleanup operations of the network, ensuring all sites, links and reporting were to the customer’s satisfaction.

Nortel (MIDDLE EAST & THE BALKANS)

Position Held – Foreman

Subcontractor employed on a SDH turnkey project. Duties included full site installation of dish antennas (up to 3.7m), running and sweep testing of waveguides including the first ever 4 GHz link in the U.K. I & C of Nera 290x and Citylink radios. The installation of Inix Add Drop multiplexers (electrical).All handover documentation.

Fuse Engineering (NORTH AMERICA/CANADA)

Implemented guidelines and procedures for the integration of BTS within the network rollout for a global operator. Completed audits of the existing network for the client, with the input of technical solutions and all presentation reports. I & C of Ultrasite and Supreme BTS.Also swap and upgrade of existing stations, both hardware and software.T1 and voice integration of the BTS Using OMT, TEMS AND T1 test equipment (TBird).Also carried out troubleshooting duties on Ericsson 2000, Nortel S8000/S12000 and Nokia Ultrasite.

Nera Telecom (WEST INDIES)

Position Held – Field Technician

Subcontractor employed on an inter island Fibre back up project Carried out the de-commissioning of old microwave links and steelwork on 5 islands. Installation of new steelwork ,new dual polarization ,space diversity dish antennas (12ft)The installation and all testing of the new 6GHz waveguide Dish alignment and link stability testing using BERT testing and Marconi spectrum analyzers.

Fuse Engineering (PEURTO RICO/NORTH AMERICA)

Position Held – Senior Engineer

Initially employed as a networks performance and QA auditor, carrying out T1 testing, sweeptesting feeders, attenuation monitoring, and full QA of BTS and tower installations with full report documenting all anomalies back to the carrier. Upon completion of this project I returned to the I & C role with the Ultrasite Rollout.

Position Held – NOC Supervisor.

Subcontractor working in the start up Network Operations Centre for Huawei Technologies. Interfacing between the clients partner NOC (Ericsson) and Huawei I &C teams for the implementation of new and swap nodes for Mobistar, ensuring a smooth transition of partner responsibilities for the UMTS sites. The assignment of 3G related trouble tickets using PeopleSoft. The tracking and follow up of TT’s through to corrective actions. Monitoring and handling of NodeB’s in transition from integration through to site acceptance. The creation of daily logs and reports of all alarms, faults and SLA infringements. Assisting the field engineers with fault finding, config changes, drive tests, cluster optimization testing and external alarm verification.

Position Held – Subcontractor.

Currently working on the Mobistar/Base lease line replacement project. I have 2 civil work teams carrying out site preparatory works for Microwave installation. This includes the siting and powering up of Knurr transmission cabinets incorporating Eltek PSU’s.2^nd fix auxiliary steelwork, RG6/RG8 transmission cable and all other associated civil works. I work in an I & C role installing the Traffic Node range of the 3G E/// microwave equipment.2P.6P and 20P all being used. Configuration and testing is achieved using the Minilink Craft. All kick off surveys, works and config reporting. Also carried out cross channel chain for a banking corporation (NASDAQ) using the SAF Luminar and repeater hardware
